I began working as a digital copywriter with Diem Cannabis in 2019 to produce brand-driven materials in the form of social posts and editorial content as the Oregon-based company expanded into the Massachusetts cannabis market. By creating targeted marketing campaigns via email and social media, Diem’s contacts increased by 36% over a 3-month period. I then utilized my editorial background to update existing blog content and generate quarterly editorial calendars while adhering to an existing style guide and established marketing criteria. While working alongside the VP of Marketing, I was tasked with formulating strategies to overcome complex nationwide expansion roadblocks. I currently write weekly blog articles with a focus on marketing automation while supporting other marketing initiatives as required. Software used to accomplish these tasks includes WordPress, Asana, Slack, Google Analytics, Kajabi, and MS Office.

The result? Diem Doobies—a 10-pack of pre-rolls designed for the everyday cannabis consumer, and a friend or two along the way. Our innovative designer and marketing team came together on this project, while I produced brand-driven copy for both the product and promotional materials.
